What we're cooking this summer on our AlfrescoPlus outdoor kitchens

Doesn't everything just feel better in summer? That one family friend who cracks dad jokes all the time just got a whole lot funnier, nights outdoors entertaining friends and family have become more enjoyable and meals just taste a whole lot better when you can enjoy them outdoors, cooked on your very own AlfrescoPlus Outdoor Kitchen.
That's why we're really excited to share some fresh, summer-inspired recipes that you should add to your menu as the weather starts to warm.
Banana Pikelets
Kickstart any summer morning with pikelets. But not just any old pikelets: banana pikelets! This is a fantastic, family-friendly recipe that the kids will love being a part of.
What you need:

2 cups self-raising flour

2 large eggs (lightly beaten)

1 ½ cups milk
-
2 medium bananas mashed
-
2 tsp sugar
-
Pinch of salt

Canola oil spray
-
Maple syrup and berries to serve

Poke Bowl with Teriyaki Chicken
For a light lunch, we can't recommend this delicious and fresh recipe enough. One of the reasons we love it so much is because you're able to let your creativity run wild and experiment with different toppings too.
What you need:
RICE

2½ cups Medium grain rice

4½ cups Water

3 tbsp Sushi seasoning (Japanese section of the supermarket)
TERIYAKI CHICKEN

4 Chicken thighs or Chicken breast (medium)

375g Teriyaki marinade (Masterfoods’ or similar brand)
TOPPINGS

1 Avocado (cubed)
-
3 Large carrots shredded/ grated
-
250g Edamame beans
-
400g Corn kernels (canned)

1 Punnet cherry tomatoes (cut into quarters)

½ Large continental cucumber (cubed)

100g Sliced pickled ginger (Japanese section of the supermarket)

210ml Kewpie Sesame Soy Japanese dressing (Japanese section of the supermarket)

Whole Butterflied Thai Spiced Chicken
Is there any cuisine more appropriate for summer than Asian-inspired dishes? We think not. The flavours are fragrant, fresh and light, and our Thai spiced chicken is no exception.
What you need:
